On October 25, 2009, Air China announced the addition of four new Air China shuttle service routes starting from Beijing to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. In addition, Air China will launch the Beijing - Hong Kong Air China shuttle service route on November 1, 2009. This move marks Air China¡¯s commitment to continue connecting the Beijing hub and East China, South China, Hong Kong, and several major economic regions. Air China launched the Beijing ¨C Chengdu and Beijing ¨C Chongqing Air China shuttle service routes in April 2009 to connect Beijing to the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.
The launch of the new Air China shuttle service routes offers the following features:
- Wide range of flight options and a convenient schedule
There are many options for the Air China shuttle service each day. Currently, there are 8 round-trip flights between Beijing-Guangzhou, 9 round-trip flights between Beijing-Shenzhen, 12 round-trip flights between Beijing-Shanghai, and 12 round-trip flights between Beijing-Hangzhou. The Air China Beijing-Guangzhou round-trip flights, Beijing-Hangzhou round-trip flights, Guangzhou/Shenzhen-Beijing shuttle service, and Shanghai-Beijing shuttle services depart on the hour. The Beijing-Shenzhen and Beijing-Shanghai shuttle services depart at half past the hour.

Designated service areas for check-in and baggage claim have been set-up inside terminals. This helps to facilitate the Air China shuttle service which saves passengers time with ground processes and provides personalized services.

For your convenience, once you arrive at the airport and check-in for your flight, if you are travelling in economy classes of Y, B, M, H, K, L, or Q on the Air China shuttle service routes, you can be added to the waiting list for any of the subsequent flights on the same route at the departure airport on the date shown on the ticket.
- Easy to change travel route
To provide our passengers with more choices, any ticket in economy classes of Y, B, M, and H on the Air China shuttle service routes between Guangzhou and Shenzhen or Shanghai and Hangzhou, can be changed free of charge in regards to the origin and destination. Passengers do not need to get a refund or reschedule tickets. Instead, tickets can be exchanged directly through the Air China hotline or at any of our ticketing offices. In the future, passengers will be able to exchange their tickets directly through the departure system at the dedicated check-in counters at the airport.
