On May 3,2012, Air China will launch new air route Mumbai-Chengdu- Shanghai Pudong service ¨C CA430/CA429 to link two great cultures. Air China invites passengers to enjoy the new air service between China and Mumbai - a time-saving and fuss-free option.

Beginning on May 03, 2012 Air China will provide more than 20 flights a week between China and India. The growing number of flights makes it easier for passengers to transfer through Chengdu,Pudong or Beijing to reach other top destinations within China and around the world, by way of Air China¡¯s extensive route network.

2. Basic Information

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport covers an area of 14,000 acres, with two parallel runways that are capable of handling takeoffs and landings of A380 aircraft. There are 200 gates in the airport. Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport was rated as an ¡°International Gateway Airport¡± in 1993, and was authorized to issue visas on arrival in 2000.  It is a hub airport for Air China, and the largest aviation hub serving the central and western regions of China.

3. Terminal Information

Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport currently has two terminals: T1 and T2. T1 covers an area of 138,000 square meters, and T2 covers an area of 350,000 square meters. Air China operates domestic flights from Terminal T2, and international (regional) flights from Terminal T1.

4. Location of Air China¡¯s Check-in Counters

Air China¡¯s check-in counters for domestic flights are located at counters P, Q, R, S, T and U on the 3rd floor of Terminal T2; Check-in counters for international (regional) flights are located at counters 1~12 on the 2nd floor of Terminal T1.

The Air China VIP lounge is located next to Boarding Gate 154 on the 3rd floor of Terminal T2, with 338 seats, covering an area of 2,270 square meters.

The Air China VIP lounge is divided into a Rest Zone, Internet Zone, TV Zone, Dining Zone, Bar, Sleeping rooms, Shower rooms, Business Center and other functional areas, offering wireless Internet access and individual VIP rooms.

Bus

There are six bus lines connecting Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport to the downtown as follows: Line 300, from the bus station at North Train Station to the approach bridge of Terminal T1; Line 303, from the ticket office downtown (Minshan Restaurant) to the 1st floor of Terminal T1; Line 304, from the Chengren Bus Station to East No.2 Airport Road; Line 307, from the East Train Station to Exit No. 4, 5 of Terminal T2; Line 318, from the Jinsha Bus Station to East No.2 Airport Road; Line 907, from the south of the New Exhibition Center to Exit No. 4, 5 of Terminal T2.

 

Taxi
Taxi stands are located outside of Gate 1 in Terminal T1 and Gates 4 and 5 in Terminal T2. It costs about RMB 50 for a taxi ride to the center of Wuhan, and takes approximately 26 minutes.

 

Long-haul bus service

There is a long-haul bus station between T1 and T2 in Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, with routes to Mianyang, Nanchong, Zigong, Luzhou, Yibin, Deyang, Ya'an, Leshan and other destinations.

The taxi changes are classified into two fares according to the car models in Chengdu. The flag-down fare for Elysee, Jetta and 1.6L Sagitar is RMB 8 for the first 2 kilometers, and RMB 1.9 for each additional kilometer; the flag-down fare for 1.4T, 2.0L Sagitar is RMB 9 for the first 2 kilometers, and RMB 1.9 for each additional kilometer. Surcharges apply for trips between 23:00 and 06:00.
