Air China Introduces New Service Amenities for Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class Customers

Since January 1, 2009, Air China offers a new year's gift to all Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class passengers. At Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport, all passengers of Air China's Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class traveling from Beijing to Europe or the US can enjoy a free Electronic Cart transportation service to their boarding gate.  Currently, passengers of Air China's Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class benefit from five airport and in-flight services.

Since 2005, Air China has invested RMB 688 million in transforming 15 long-range wide-body aircrafts.  This has created cabin facilities that meet world-class standards. In addition, passenger services have been carefully designed, incorporating the essence of the ancient Chinese palace cultures in the creation of the new Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class.  Currently, Air China has introduced exclusive services for Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class on 13 routes  which include Beijing - New York (CA981/2), Beijing - Los Angeles (CA983/4), Beijing - Frankfurt (CA931/2, CA965/6) and Shanghai - Frankfurt (CA935/6). With the new Air China services, passengers traveling between China, Europe and the United States will experience superior comfort and pleasure at an altitude of 10,000 meters, allowing them to arrive rejuvenated at their destinations despite their long-distance travel.

 

Air China's Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class passenger services include:

  1. Free Limousine Ground Transportation Service
    Passengers will be provided free limousine ground transportation from any location in the city center to Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport or Shanghai Hongqiao Airport.

  2. Free Accommodation at Luxury Hotel
    If passengers have to stay overnight in Beijing or Shanghai because of a transfer, Forbidden Pavilion First Class passengers flying on Air China connecting flights will be provided s free accommodation at a five-star hotel and Capital Pavilion Business Class passengers will be provided a free accommodation at a four-star hotel.

  3. Airport Assistance Service
    After completing boarding procedures at Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport or Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, Air China personnel will assist passengers through the joint-inspection lanes, and to the passenger lounges before they board the aircraft.
    For passengers arriving at Beijing Capital International Airport or Shanghai Pudong Airport, Air China will arrange designated personnel with placards to welcome them at the boarding gate or at the ferry terminal entrance to guide them through the joint-inspection lanes and on to their designated locations for limousine ground transportation service.

  4. Electronic Cart Transportation Service
    When boarding begins, Air China personnel will assist passengers in utilizing electronic carts to take to their boarding gate.

  5. Exquisite In-flight Cuisine and Meal Service
    For flights departing from Beijing, 18 delectable dishes will be specially prepared. These include "Quanjude" roast duck, sweet soup, roasted bran, rice dishes and other Oriental meals. Caviar, Haagen-Dazs ice cream, various types of cheese and cakes will also be offered to passengers.  On routes between Beijing - New York (CA981/2) and Beijing - Frankfurt (CA931/2, CA965/6), food order services will also be provided.

  1. An introduction to Air China's Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class

    Seats in Forbidden Pavilion First Class are individually spaced and surrounded by separators to integrate work, communication, play and relaxation, providing a private and comfortable atmosphere. The seats have three adjustable positions: fully horizontal, reclined or upright. At 190cm long and 70cm wide, seats recline up to 180 degrees and will be your spacious and comfortable bed in the sky. Seats in Capital Pavilion Business Class recline up to 170 degrees, and measure 190cm long and 54cm wide. Multi-standard power outlets are provided in Forbidden Pavilion First Class and Capital Pavilion Business Class cabins to facilitate the usage of laptops. Dynamic lighting systems are also installed. The color and brightness of the lights are adjustable, permitting passengers to choose from various setups which include sunrise, sunset, night or dawn lighting. In addition, an advanced entertainment system with a digital audio/video on demand function is equipped. Each passenger has a 10.4-inch personal LCD screen and can choose from a collection of 60 regularly updated DVD movies, 98 music CDs and a variety of electronic games.

Note:

  • This service does not apply to passengers holding free tickets or mileage redemption tickets.
  • Passengers must travel on Air China flights with international stopovers.
  • Once the ticket has been issued, passengers must notify the Customer Service Center 48 hours in advance of their departure if they wish to utilize the electronic cart transportation service.
  • When issuing return tickets for passengers, the designated agents must inform the passengers to confirm their ground service transportation with the Customer Service Center by telephone or by other means one day prior to the flight departure of the return flight.
